Celine went for vaccinations yesterday. I thought it would only be one 5in1 jab but it turned out that she was supposed to take the Pneumoccocal jab and Rotavirus oral medication. I think I looked super blur and shocked when the nurse at the Polyclinic told me. I mean I was really mentally not prepared for Celine to take 2 jabs and 1 oral medication for that visit. The nurse had to repeat a few times to me on the cost and where the jabs will be and after the jabs where do I bring Celine to see the doctor.
Anyway, Celine was rather drowsy for the whole day after the visit to the Polyclinic. Sleeping most of the time. I was anticipating fever and measuring her quite often. The thermometer kept telling me she was ok when I felt that she was feverish. At the end of the day I concluded that I was probably the one with fever. Haha. Well, I was having headaches, but not quite sure about fever though.
So I thought I was lucky… But no, Celine had fever this morning when I measured her. And it was a whole day affair. I basically didn’t have much time to do any work. She was fussy and just wanted me to carry her. When I was just simply out of strength, I had to put her down and she would cry till I also felt like crying. Then start the rocking of the playpen that she was in to pacify her. Getting her to nap was no easy feat today. Haiz.
Celine is also no longer a 90 percentile baby. She is now more of an average baby. We have successfully put her on diet. Yay! Nah… We felt a bit sad that she has slimmed down a little. So from tomorrow onwards we will be increasing her milk intake. Hope that she keeps growing healthily!
By the way, many of the jabs are actually free for Singapore Citizens at the Polyclinics. You can view the charges here.
